Great for smoked old fashions. A little awkward to hold the glass cover on - need one hand on that and one on the smoker to keep it from tipping. But it works great. Smoke gum residue can stop up the fan blades after some usage and it’s not easy to clean that part. But for the price I’m happy.My husband just finished cancer care and spends a lot of time watching "Beat Bobby Flay." He loves to cook and is always looking for different ways to change his cooking. He loves this! It is so easy for him to use!Worked perfect for me the hickory flavor it came with had a good clean and non synthetic flavor/smell for me 10 out of 10 100% would recommendGreat smoker. Put in chips, light press button and smoke is moving to the glass. Great product wish I would have found earlier.Clearly more experimentation is necessary, but I expected that it would be. I didn't realize it came with the cocktail smoking lid (what you actually do is smoke the ice and the glass, then put the whiskey in, that makes sense now that I think about it, might be a fire hazard otherwise) so don't order the separate lid unless you for some reason want an extra. I feel like it has to be useful for other things too, but I haven't tried anything else yet. Husband said the smoked whiskey cocktail was as good as he's ever had anywhere, so that's a plus! It's not exactly effortless to set up and use, but it's fun to try different things, especially things involving drinking alcohol.Super easy to use. Great for making some smoked old fashions at home!Nice product but you'd think it should come with a dome.Got this for my hubby so he could cold smoke a few goodies for us.This unit is super easy to use. Add your wood chips or dried herbs into the top, light them with a match or lighter, then turn on the fan. Hose section goes into whatever container you are using. If you do not have a lid on the container you are smoking in, you can easily use cling wrap instead.There is a drill bit included in the packaging in case you want to drill a hole into a plastic container dedicated for smoking (which we did and we used the plastic plugs also included - we used a plastic show box with a lid).Hubby used some pellets (hickory and cherry) and smoked cheeses and pecans. They each definitely now have a smoke flavor! We let them sit in the fridge for a couple of days before digging in.On the first use, we discovered you should probably do this outside or near an open window:) Lesson learned!Price point is very good on this. We had looked at others that are closer to $100 and I am guessing they don't do much better of a job than this.
