As long as you use what it is Intended for then you should have no problems no slip grip easy to sharpen…Would have gotten 5 stars if there was a blade cover, even a cheap one...however a finely crafted no nonsense knife that will handle everything you need to in the kitchen. It's dishwasher safe, but who in their right mind runs super sharp knifes in a dishwasher, and expects it to remain sharp, and not damage the rack it was placed in? Hand wash, and be careful while drying. Then cover the blade, or hang on a magnetic strip so it stays sharp. A small investment for a tool that should last a lifetime.I purchased a full set for our Vacation home and have no worries no matter what I am prepping. Resillient and sharp with a great feel. Really not what I thought it would be. I would like to return it and purchase an upgraded make.cuts and is sharp
