Would probably work better for cakes, as long as you plan on layering on top something else.was disappointed in its size and would have returned it if it had cost more and returning was easier. will probably be in my next box of Goodwill donations.No lining the tin, and the cake tipped out as good as gold.The cake tin arrived in good time.
